Annual declaration of compliance

Under Guideline 5 of the VRQA Guidelines for VET Providers, registered training organisations (RTOs) are required to complete an annual declaration of compliance and submit it to the VRQA by 1 April each year.

The declaration confirms that your organisation:

  • meets the requirements of registration set out in the AQTF Standards and the VRQA Guidelines for VET Providers
  • has met the requirements for all AQF certification documentation it has issued in the previous 12 months
  • has training and assessment strategies and practices in place to ensure that all current and prospective students will be trained and assessed in accordance with the standards and guidelines
  • has systematically monitored compliance and corrected any issues.

There is space to provide examples of compliance or non-compliance. Please provide reasons for any non-compliance and outline the measures you are implementing to rectify the issue.

The principal executive officer or chief executive officer registered with us must sign the annual declaration. This information is listed on the training.gov.au website.

Submitting the declaration

Please email your completed declaration to vrqa.vet@education.vic.gov.au

If you do not submit the declaration or contact us by 1 April, your organisation will not meet the requirements of ongoing registration under the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF). We will contact non-compliant RTOs directly.
