Completion of an apprenticeship or traineeship

An apprenticeship is complete when the apprentice achieves all the competencies of the structured training and the employer has provided the RTO with confirmation of the apprentice's competence as an employee in the workplace.

RTOs must provide clear advice to the employer that confirmation completes the training contract for an apprenticeship or traineeship. When the RTO has received confirmation from the employer, it enters the information into the apprenticeship database.

See: Competency-based training and completion.
