Apprenticeships and traineeships combine on-the-job and formal training towards qualifications in more than 500 occupations and trades, from certificate level through to advanced diploma level.
When hiring an Australian apprentice, you are agreeing to facilitate the apprentice’s off-the-job training components. Together with the apprentice you negotiate the timing, location and type of training needed for the apprentice to achieve the qualification, and for you to meet your business needs.
For information and the steps to hiring an apprentice, see the chart showing the
Pathway to employing an Australian Apprentice.
