The VRQA registers and monitors apprenticeships and traineeships in Victoria. It protects the interests of employers, apprentices and trainees in ensuring quality training is delivered with nationally recognised outcomes.
Anyone at least 15 years of age can undertake an apprenticeship or traineeship. You don't need a secondary school certificate or other qualification. You just need to find an employer prepared to take you on as an apprentice or trainee.
You could be:
- a school-leaver
- finishing Year 11 or 12
- re-entering the workforce
- an adult worker wanting to change careers.
