Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA)
The Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) is responsible for the regulation of all education and training providers in Victoria from home schooling to higher education including overseas secondary student exchange organisations – in total over 3700 providers.
One of the main roles of the VRQA is to accredit courses and qualifications. Our Accreditation page provides information on Senior Secondary, Vocational Education and Training (VET) and higher education qualifications. In this section, you will also find the steps that you will have to take to get a course accredited.
The Registration pages provide information on registration and on how to become a registered school or a registered provider of VET and higher education.
For a list of courses, schools and education training providers, visit the State Register page of this site.
For information on providing courses to overseas students, visit the Approval to provide courses to overseas students’ pages in the Registration section of this site.
In Home Schooling section, you will find support material for the registration of Home Schooling in Victoria and a downloadable application form.
The Credit Matrix provides a common approach to describing and recording learning across all qualifications. Find out how the Credit Matrix is used in course development and visit project updates for the latest news.
