Welcome to the 13th edition of E-news. This edition will provide you with information on a recent seminar held by the VRQA for prospective higher education providers and details about the finalised review and evaluation services panel for schools and senior secondary providers.
I also draw your attention to the replacement of the National Training Information Services (NTIS) by a new system called Training.gov.au. This new system will become the authoritative National Register for the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector.
In addition, you can read about the legislative changes in the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 that restrict the use of the terms “TAFE” and “technical and further education” in a company or business name.
Recently we conducted three information sessions for RTOs transferring to the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA). To learn more about these sessions, see: Transition to ASQA information sessions.
RTOs who only deliver accredited training in Victoria to domestic students will not be affected by these changes.
