Policy on minimum hours per week for employment and training
The VRQA is responsible for determining which courses will be approved as apprenticeships or traineeships and associated determinations such as probationary periods, credit arrangements and minimum hours per week for employment and training.
On 8 April 2014 the VRQA Board endorsed the VRQA Policy on Minimum Hours per Week for Employment and Training. While the policy is similar to previous guidelines issued, a definition of employment has been included that clarifies the status of leave arrangements in relation to minimum training.
