Registered training organisations (RTOs) must collect and report on training activity to the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER).
When the requirement to report on training activity commenced on 1 January 2014, a grace period was made available on application for RTOs that needed additional time to establish procedures and prepare their systems to meet the new reporting requirements.
Full exemptions from reporting training activities were available on application for RTOs that provide training related to national security, border protection, policing, vital emergency, fire, first-aid and rescue services.
All RTOs, with the exception of those RTOs who were granted a full exemption, are now required to report their accredited training activity during 2014 to NCVER by 28 February 2015.
