The VRQA has published a provider risk framework outlining important risks and indicators that the VRQA considers when determining the appropriate level of oversight for each provider.
The framework reflects the good regulatory practice principles of transparency and proportionality of regulatory processes and decisions outlined in the Future Direction for the VRQA Statement.
The risk framework applies to the regulation of VRQA-registered education and training providers in the school education and vocational education and training sectors. It does not apply to the regulation of apprenticeships and traineeships.
The provider risk framework assists education and training providers to consider their own circumstances against each of the identified risks.
The VRQA considers additional factors at its discretion in determining the appropriate level of oversight for education and training providers.
