A message from the Director

Welcome to the 15th edition of E-news. This edition provides you with an update on the transition of registered training organisations to the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and higher education institutions to the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA).

In addition, you can read about the Bushfire Preparedness requirements for all schools and check the revised Bushfire At-Risk Register to confirm the list of schools who need to revise their processes.

You can also read about the application for the Melbourne College of Divinity (MCD) to operate with the specialised university title, ‘MCD University of Divinity’.

I also draw your attention to the VRQA Annual Report 2010-11 tabled in Parliament on the 13 September 2011 and is published on the VRQA website.

We welcome any feedback from you on this edition and I encourage you to email your suggestions for future article topics to: vrqa@edumail.vic.gov.au.
