Victorian Registration & Qualifications Authority
Edition 21 - Special Edition
VRQA director
A message from the Director

Welcome to the 21st edition of E-news. This is a special edition to alert you to the release for public comment of a Regulatory Impact Statement (RIS) on Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) fees from 2013.

In the past, VRQA fees have been set by a Ministerial Order which has applied for only one year. Legislative changes in 2011 now require that a RIS process be undertaken where fees are set by a Ministerial Order. The proposed Ministerial Order establishes fees to be payable by providers of educational services regulated by the VRQA from 2013.

A copy of the proposed fee schedule and the RIS are available on the VRQA website www.vrqa.vic.gov.au or can be collected in hard copy from the VRQA at Level 6, 35 Spring Street, Melbourne.

As part of the public consultation process, the VRQA will be arranging focus group discussions with key stakeholders. Written comments and submissions from affected parties and/or members of the public are also invited. Unless requested to the contrary by the author, all submissions will be treated as public documents and may be made available to other parties. Submissions should be forwarded by no later than 5:00 pm, 23 October 2012. Further details are available on the VRQA website.
