A message from the Director

The Victorian Auditor-General’s Office (VAGO) has released its report into Apprenticeship and Traineeship Completion. The report identifies that regulation has an important role to play in supporting completion rates and makes a number of recommendations to further strengthen the administration and regulation of apprenticeships and traineeships.

The VRQA Board has accepted all recommendations made by VAGO and will work with all relevant stakeholders in implementing the recommendations.

I would also like to bring your attention to the release of a new Ministerial Order for anaphylaxis management in schools. All registered schools are required to review their current policies and practices in line with the new Ministerial Order 706 and the associated guidelines.

Further details are available in this edition of e-news.

The VRQA values feedback about the information and resources it provides, as well as suggestions for future e-news articles. Feedback may be directed to vrqa@edumail.vic.gov.au.
