Edition 7
VRQA director
A message from the Director

Welcome to the seventh edition of E-news. This edition provides you with an update on the Australian Universities Quality Agency’s (AUQA) audit of the VRQA’s regulation of non self-accrediting higher education in Victoria.

In addition, you can read about current activity in Vocational Education and Training (VET).

On 19 October the Education and Training Reform Amendment (Skills) Act 2010 received Royal Assent. Detail of the impact of new functions and powers of the VRQA will be communicated through the E-news and on our website in the future.

I also draw your attention to the Financial Management Guidance Sessions being held for potential applicants for initial registration as a registered training organisation. All potential applicants must attend one of these sessions prior to applying for registration.

I am also pleased to tell you about our new VRQA Values. They were developed and agreed by our staff and guide our actions and behaviours when interacting with each other and with you.

I would like to thank those of you that participated in the third annual VRQA Client Satisfaction Survey, the results of which provide us with a greater understanding of your needs and expectations. The survey has now closed and I am pleased to say that we received a very high overall response rate. All answers are confidential and the VRQA will not see individual responses.
