Victorian Registration & Qualifications Authority
Edition 1 – December 2009
VRQA director
A message from the Director

The VRQA is Victoria’s education and training regulator and as part of our role we aim to communicate effectively with education and training providers, key bodies and individuals who operate in the education and training market.

E-news is important to this process. It is designed to keep you informed of VRQA activities and increase your knowledge of our role via short articles in an easily accessible format.

We will cover matters of interest for schools, VET, higher education and overseas secondary student exchange organisations. The current international students’ matter in this edition is a perfect example.

In addition, we will provide notice of upcoming information sessions and other VRQA activities in the Events’ section

It is our intention to publish E-news six times a year and from each edition we welcome your feedback.

Best wishes for the holiday season.

Lynn Glover

The continuous auditing program is complemented by the Rapid Audit Program into the operations of Victoria’s international education providers. This is part of the government’s commitment to ensure that international students have access to the best educational infrastructure support and programs available.
