Students to continue training after failure of Melbourne International College Pty Ltd
Following the failure of the Melbourne International College Pty Ltd, the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority Director, Lynn Glover, has announced that that students at the Melbourne International College would be able to transfer to another provider to continue their training following the business failure of the college and the cancellation of its education licence.

Making an informed choice
The Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) has announced new online access to the state register of schools and training and higher education providers in Victoria.
For the first time, parents and learners can go to one online destination to search for information about education and training across all sectors including government, catholic and independent schools, TAFE institutes and other providers of training and higher education across Victoria.

The Guidelines on homestay accommodation for overseas students (PDF - 99Kb) thirteen years or under was approved by the VRQA Board and will be effective from 1 July 2009, under the Authority’s power pursuant to section 4.5.1 (3) of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006. Brumby Government announcement of Rapid Audit
On 20 May 2009, the Minister for Skills and Workforce Participation Jacinta Allan announced an immediate and rapid audit into the operations of Victoria’s international education providers.
The Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority will work with the Victorian Government, the Commonwealth Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations and the Commonwealth Department of Immigration and Citizenship to investigate the services provided by international registered training providers.
Reporting on AQTF 2007 Quality Indicators
