If you no longer wish to operate as an RTO, the VRQA must be notified immediately.
To cancel your registration you must submit Form C - Request by RTO to cancel registration (docx - 243.97kb) and an electronic copy of all of your student records, in Excel format, for the purpose of archiving and reissuing of qualifications if required.
For each student who has undertaken accredited training covered by the scope of registration, your organisation must include the following information:
- family name and first name
- residential post code
- date of birth
- enrolment/commencement date
- code and title of qualification
- codes and titles of units of competency
- units of competency assessment results
- credentials and date issued.
Once registration is cancelled, your organisation cannot issue nationally recognised qualifications or statements of attainment.
If you are the copyright owner of a VET accredited course, cancelling your RTO registration will not automatically cancel the course. If you wish to also cancel the accreditation of your course then you will need to notify the VRQA.
