Renewing Registration

Renewal notice

Eight months before your registration end date the VRQA will invoice you for the applicable fees. If registration expires, you will not be able to  promote or offer nationally recognised training or issue any qualifications or statements of attainment. All information about your training organisation will be removed from the State Register and your RTO status will change to 'Non-Current' or 'Cancelled' on Training.gov.au.

Pay the fees

If you wish to renew your training organisation's registration, you must pay the invoice in full.

The fees are payable online by credit card (Mastercard or Visa), BPAY or by Postbillpay. Online payments can be made on the fee payment page.

For more information on fees, see: VRQA fees and charges.

Submit the application form

You are also required to submit a completed Form D- Application for re-registration (931kb). Refer to the Guide to Form D (docx - 287.87kb)

Compliance audit

Once the application form has been received, the VRQA will schedule an audit to confirm your organisation’s compliance with the AQTF Essential Conditions and Standards for Continuing Registration (pdf - 390.33kb) and the 2016 VRQA Guidelines for VET providers (docx - 206.95kb)

For more information see: Audit Processes.

Fit and proper person declaration

Directors, senior officers and substantial shareholders of Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) who are in a position to influence the management of the organisation must satisfy fit and proper person requirements. RTOs can complete the Fit and proper person declaration form (doc - 586kb) as evidence that they meet these requirements.
