Senior secondary qualifications
The senior secondary qualifications accredited by the VRQA are designed to be undertaken in years 11 and 12. These are:
- The Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE)
- The Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL)
- The International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB Diploma)
The VRQA also accredits the individual courses which contribute to the award of the VCE and the VCAL. Individual VCE studies and VCAL strands need to meet the VRQA Senior Secondary Course Accreditation Standards (PDF - 48Kb) to be accredited and entered on the State Register.
An accredited course or qualification can only be issued to students by a registered senior secondary awarding body.
