Cancelling registration
You must advise the VRQA as soon as possible if you decide to cease operating as an RTO. AQTF Form C - Request by RTO to Cancel Registration (PDF - 64Kb), should be completed and lodged with the VRQA.
Once registration is cancelled, you will no longer be able to issue nationally recognised qualifications.
Student records must be sent to the VRQA in electronic format for the purpose of archiving and reissuing of qualifications if required. For each student who has undertaken accredited training covered by the Scope of Registration you must include the following information:
- family name and first name
- residential postcode
- date of birth
- enrolment/commencement date
- code and title of course
- codes and titles of modules/units of competency
- modules/units of competency assessment results
- credentials and date issued.
Please note, if you are the copyright owner of a VET accredited course, cancelling your registration as a training organisation will not automatically cancel the course. If you wish to also cancel the accreditation of your course then you will need to notify the VET Course Accrediting Body in your state or territory of your intention.
