Steps in Registering as an RTO

There are three steps to apply for registration: collecting information, preparing an application and receiving approval of their application.

Step 1- Collecting information

Decide which nationally recognised training the organisation intends to provide
Demonstrate compliance
Consider attending an RTO pre-registration information session
Select a suitable RTO name

Step 2 – Preparing an application

Complete AQTF Form A – Application
Deposit the registration fee (payable to the VRQA)
Lodge the application

Step 3 – Approval of the application

Assessment
VRQA decision
Formal advice of decision
Appeals
