A message from the Director

The VRQA has commenced phasing in the child safe standards compliance self-assessment and declaration process for all Victorian schools.

We have, along with the Department of Education and Training, the Catholic Education Commission of Victoria and other agencies, developed a number of child safe standards resources which are now available.

I encourage all school principals and key staff to familiarise themselves with the resources and the upcoming process further detailed in this edition of e-news.

Throughout May and June 2016, over 1,100 school representatives from around 660 schools across all sectors attended child safe standards information sessions. Thank you to those who engaged with us through these information sessions.

In the apprenticeships and traineeships sector, changes to the apprenticeship dispute resolution process and group training regulatory system have recently come into effect.

Further information is available in this edition of e-news.
