On 18 October, BuildUP visited the Melbourne Polytechnic Heidelberg campus for Trades Day. BuildUP representatives and authorised officers met with apprentices, TAFE trainers and support staff to increase awareness of the campaign.
The BuildUP campaign is aimed at protecting the rights of women apprentices in building and construction. At the Trades Day stall, the BuildUP representatives encouraged apprentices to reach out if they're experiencing unfair treatment.
