Review of Victoria’s Education and Training Reform Regulations

The Department of Education and Training is reviewing the current Education and Training Reform Regulations 2007 (Regulations) before they sunset on 26 June 2017.

The Regulations are made under the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Act). They prescribe a number of matters under the Act, including in relation to school registration, registration of education and training organisations, registration of children for home schooling and the role of the VRQA in investigating complaints.

The Regulations are being reviewed as part of a mandated ten-year sunset process.

The public consultation period is now open and will close on Tuesday, 5pm on 28 February 2017.
