We only regulate training contracts, not employment contracts.
Apprentices must receive the wages and conditions under an appropriate award, approved enterprise agreement, or the national minimum wage and National Employment Standards.
You are required by law to make a copy of this award or agreement available to your employees.
Apprentices and trainees have the same entitlements as your other employees, such as annual leave, sick leave, public holidays and breaks.
