Is my organisation eligible to apply?
To be eligible to apply to the VRQA for registration as a training organisation, your institution must:
- be a company incorporated in Australia or an incorporated association or body otherwise specified in s.4.3.16(4A) of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006. Sole traders, partnerships or trusts are not eligible to apply. A company incorporated in Australia and acting as Trustee (ATF) for a Trust can apply for registration.
- have its principal place of business in Victoria
- only deliver to domestic students in Victoria, or only in Victoria and Western Australia.
All registered training organisations (RTOs) in Victoria must meet the requirements set out in the VRQA guidelines, the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF), the Australian Qualifications Framework, and other relevant legislation.
